Prevention of combating Non-communicable diseases discussed at the international level
On October 17 and 18, 2019, Krasnoyarsk hosted the International Health Conference as part of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
The main topic of the meeting was the question “Promotion of human security in APEC. Building the Capacity of APEC Economies through the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases”.
The Head of Equal right to life took part in the event from public organizations and in his speech drew the attention of healthcare representatives to the need to increase public awareness and access to evidence-based data in order to increase public awareness in the prevention and control of NCDs. He also emphasized that the formation of legal regulation of risk factors for the development of NCDs should take into account the willingness and awareness of the population about the significance of the legislative initiatives being adopted (motivation to participate in medical examinations, healthy lifestyles, smoking cessation, etc.). He called for the use of the experience of international and intersectoral programs to integrate innovative approaches to the prevention and control of risk factors for the development of NCDs, which in turn will contribute to the effective achievement of the SDGs.
