ON AUGUST 26, 2012, IN VLADIVOSTOK PATIENTS' SCHOOL WILL BE HELD DEDICATED TO BREAST CANCER
On August 26 at 14.00, in Vladivostok, Patients' School will be held dedicated to the topic "Psychological rehabilitation of breast cancer patients after surgery to remove the breast. Modern breast prostheses, special underwear".
This is a free educational outreach event, organized by interregional public movement "Movement Against Cancer" with support of non-profit partnership "Equal Right to Life". It is open to patients, their families, and all who are interested in receiving topical information about the disease.
Breast cancer is a leading cancer in the structure of morbidity and mortality in women in Russia. Every year about 50 thousand women in this country learn about this diagnosis for the first time. Most breast cancer patients have to go through surgery during treatment.
Patients' School will help to learn about causes of cancer, methods of psychological rehabilitation, legislation that regulates the rights of cancer patients, and the rules of selection of compensation means and special underwear. After lectures everyone will have an opportunity to ask questions and get useful recommendations.
Participants of Patients' School will hear to psychologist of Primorskiy Cancer Center Evgeniya Komova, head of Primorie branch of IPM "Movement Against Cancer" Lyudmila Litvinenko and a lawyer of Primorie branch of IPM "Movement Against Cancer" Natalya Nosyreva.
Patients' School will be held at the office of "Ortomed" company (Vladivostok, prospect 100 Years of Vladivostok, 53). The entrance is free.
