Interactive Patients’ School dedicated to colorectal cancer: all questions will be answered
On March 28, at 16:00 (Moscow time) the online "Patients’ School" dedicated to colorectal cancer will be held. The School is organized by interregional public movement "Movement Against Cancer" supported by non-profit partnership "Equal Right to Life". Participation in virtual school offers an opportunity to listen advice of experts in psychology, medicine and law. The School will consist of three units. During each unit speakers will make presentations and answer questions from participants in interactive mode. Participants will be able to ask questions both in a written form (via chat/forum) and in video conference format.
The School will be opened by presentation of Irina Valentinovna Morkovkina, cand. med. sci., psychiatrist, senior researcher of "Centre for Mental Health" of RAS, coordinator of social projects of IPM "Movement Against Cancer". She will talk about the psychological aspects of treatment and rehabilitation of patients. Alexander Valerievich Petrovskiy, cand. med. sci., associate professor of oncology of I.M. Sechenov First MSMU will talk about current approaches to prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer. Organizational issues of receiving health care and social protection of patients will be covered by Nikolay Petrovich Dronov, chairman of the executive committee of IPM "Movement Against Cancer", Deputy Chairman of the Public Council for the Protection of Patients' Rights at Roszdravnadzor Office in Moscow and Moscow region.
During the online webcast consultation in the chat mode will also be available. Participants' questions will be answered by:
• Lali Galimovna Babicheva, cand. med. sci., oncologist at oncology departmet of the Russian Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education (RMAPO);
• Oleg Ryurikovich Melnikov, cand. med. sci., associate professor, head of oncology department at Faculty Surgery Clinic of I.M. Pavlov SPbSMU;
• Anastasia Victorovna Galaktionova, director of autonomous non-commercial organization “Project – Co-operation” and Board member of the Association of Psychologists in Oncology;
• Anzhelika Igorevna Seregina, legal expert.
